Via Crime in Charlotte, say hello again to…Shea Roseboro!

CinC noted that the repeat convicted felon was released last week after yet another arrest:

On May 6, 2011, the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office released the following: “Shea Roseboro, 21, pled guilty to interfering with an electronic monitoring device and damaging computers. Roseboro was sentenced to 15-18 months in prison, suspended for 36 months of supervised probation with 120 days in jail by Judge Constangy.”

Can someone please tell me why Shea Roseboro was already back out on the streets… getting arrested again today? Shea Roseboro is 21 years old. He has shot two people, has been arrested in Mecklenburg County 33 times in 5 years and he is STILL walking the streets of Charlotte!

Ladies and gents, just like Martin Diamond’s no-bond release, this is no mistake. It is the official policy of the Mecklenburg County criminal courts not to incarcerate young black men for non-federal charges unless absolutely forced to do so by the weight of public opinion.

Peter Gilchrist, Andrew Murray — the names and faces change, but reparations on the down-low continue.
