The ability of people, not government, to own land was once equated with freedom. It still is. That’s why the Land-of-Sky Regional Council has been partnering “to identify how we can be more proactive about maintaining a network of these natural systems to maintain the valuable services nature provides to our communities.” Open houses will be held to solicit expressions of community values with respect to wildlife habitat and biodiversity.
