One of the best books of the last decade was Harvey Silverglate’s Three Felonies a Day. It’s about the way government prosecutors abuse their powers to target people who have done no wrong.
Here’s an article by Will Grigg about an appalling case in Idaho that ought to go into a new edition of Silverglate’s book. Or maybe the author of the article will write his own book. The abuse of power like this ought to be a burning issue among Americans who care about injustice. Obama ought to stop blathering away about inequality and do something about injustice.
