Yesterday, we discussed state Rep. Jim Crawford’s bid for re-election. Now another “gang of five” Democrat, William Brisson, has come under attack by a group opposed to medical liability reforms passed by the legislature last year. Here is the N.C. Advocates for Justice ad:

Brisson represents Bladen and Cumberland counties in House District 22 (after redistricting, the district now includes parts of Bladen, Johnston, and Sampson counties). He is one of five Democrats who voted with Republicans in the House to override Gov. Bev Perdue’s veto of the budget bill. He also is one of 10 Democrats to vote to override Perdue’s veto of the medical liability bill.

Although Brisson doesn’t have a general election challenger, he does have an opponent in the primary from a fellow Democrat, Matt Dixon.
