Our liberal friends at Raleigh’s Common Sense Foundation are once again promoting the idea of a “living wage” in North Carolina, something the group’s Nov. 10 “Consider This” e-mail says would be “a powerful blow in favor of the working poor in North Carolina.” I can’t fault the group’s intention, but as our own Roy Cordato explains, the people progressives seek to help with this policy are the very people who are hurt by it.
