This forum has featured plenty of discussion of problems associated with the 2010 federal health care reform law.

But a feature story in the latest print version of Money magazine highlights another feature of ObamaCare that could hurt its namesake.

The article is not yet posted online, but you don’t need to read the piece to recognize the political liability associated with the health reform law. It’s sufficient to know that the nearly full-page graphic associated with the article is a prescription bottle covered with red tape.

The headline says:

What Reform Is (and Isn’t) Doing Now: The law delivers immediate benefits, but there’s still plenty of red tape

While the article is favorable to neutral about the overall impact of ObamaCare, it mentions feature after feature of the law that involves either substantial paperwork and restrictions or a delayed implementation.

If the new system offers little — if any — substantive improvement over pre-ObamaCare conditions, it’s hard to picture health care reform as a positive for the president as he makes the case for re-election.
