Our still at-large governor wants to hike the state tax on beer by 80 percent — because the state needs to spend $21.5 billion next year. Lord how I hate that tiny, mendacious man.
It is not enough that the price of beer is sky rocketing on its own due to the overall mania for ethanol — no, this genius has to compound the problem. Watch the cowards in the General Assembly go right along with it and give NC the second highest beer tax in the US of A.
Well, if there was ever a high hanging curve ball for Pat McCrory to belt over the fence to the delight of beer soaked wretches everywhere, this would be it. Talk about your conservative everyman type issue.
