Wal-Mart Senior Vice President and President for the Professional Services Division Dr. John Agwunobi, in a speech to the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) meeting in Hot Springs, Arkansas, explained how Wal-Mart is improving access, cost, and quality in health care with $4 prescriptions and in-store clinics.
One of the most striking lines in his talk, however, was a description of why Wal-Mart responds to its customers. Every week, an average of 140 million people shop at Wal-Mart – nearly half the country. Their “whispers on aisle two” multiplied by 140 million become a mighty roar.
