The News & Observer has put together a short video promotion of its upcoming series on mental health services in North Carolina.

In the old days, you would have seen a video of this type only from a television station. It would have aired only on television as the station promoted its upcoming programming (most likely during a ratings period).

Now any media organization worth its salt knows it must offer content beyond its base platform. A newspaper must be more than a newspaper. A television station must have a Web presence with written content. News people must be able to “multitask.”
