Members of Asheville City Council supposedly met with members of the legislative delegation, but no reports have appeared yet online. Reporters at the Buncombe County Commissioners’ meeting indicated they did not think anything was going to happen. The commissioners’ meeting lasted less than half an hour. One reason it was short was the lady who was supposed to provide a presentation on “Know Your Numbers,” a wellness campaign, was “feeling under the weather.” Only three regulars, who can share an opinion on everything, took the microphone during public comment.
More significantly and commendably, Henderson County will host a public hearing on revisions to its Land Development Code at 9:00 Wednesday morning in the historic downtown courthouse. The changes, intended to help the economy, will let up on rigmarole.
