In the latest Newsweek, Daniel Lyons explores some ideas for helping ?old-media? types compete in the new media world. The discussion reminds me of John Hood?s discussion of a similar theme.

I also chuckled as I read Lyon?s following statement:

So maybe, one day, the Huffington Post will become the equivalent of The New York Times?perhaps operated by the same writers and editors and sales reps who used to work for the Times.

Did he really need to use the future tense?
