This one’s of a slightly different nature, as suspended Atkins High School teacher Amy Yarborough talks about the “pain she’s feeling in her life” after being sentenced to 24-30 months in prison for sexual activity with a student in her classroom. I bet she’s feeling some pain right now.
The Winston-Salem Journal article provides a couple of details you may or may not want to know, not to mention the money quote comes from Judge Patrice Hinnant, who said “the lips of a teacher should be used to dispense knowledge, not to perform oral sex.”
So what’s up with Atkins? Remember that Atkins principal Dan Piggott pled guilty last year to simple assault in connection with allegations that he groped and fondled two female employees.
