Surprise, surprise. Another group of students walked out of a CMS high school and took cabs down to Central Ave. to protest.

Wonder if Independence principal Nancy Bartles regrets not sticking to her original plan of suspending students who walked out during the previous protest a little over a week ago. Another protest is planned for May 1, assuming one does not happen suddenly happen on Central in the interim. The disruptions are not what CMS schools need right now.

As anyone who has spent a moment around teen-agers understands, this walk-out thing is now moving into the realm of fad and one-ups-manship. Now that Independence has had a walk-out with the added wrinkle of taking cabs away from school, other CMS highs are on deck. Can they match it? Keep watching.
