At last night’s Greensboro city council meeting, Assistant City Manager Ben Brown reported that the latest development in the Willow Oaks mess will be investigated as a forgery case.

There was not one question from the council, the mayor or the city manager.

As for the Rice Toyota rezoning, which passed by a 7-0 vote, I guess we just saw exactly what the comprehensive plan is worth. Mind you, I’m not complaining. I’m just calling it the way I see it.

Update: Before the vote on the Rice Toyota rezoning, council member Yvonne Johnson read a statement saying the rezoning was consistent with the comprehensive plan because it was an example of infill development, it was consistent with the plan’s diverse economic development goals and it implements measures to protect neighborhoods thorugh the rezoning’s required conditions.
