A professor of nonviolence and peace studies at Warren Wilson College was arrested for chaining himself to a windmill planted in front of the Bank of America office in downtown Asheville. He was arrested with other protesters attempting to raise awareness. In particular, the message appears to fault banks with a conflict of interest of sorts for handling more money from oil companies than alternative energy outfitters.

Yeah, yeah. The social justice solution is old: Cap monetary transactions at a baseline defined by the best efforts of the worst producers, and make the oil companies give the solar and wind companies the difference. It will be peaceful as long as the victims don’t cry out.
