When Democrats rushed to join the American Autumn, they should have known that the Occupy movement would turn soft and brown, figuratively and literally. That’s the way of all left-wing protests. There’s no such thing as holding a big rally or a few big rallies, then cleaning up and going home, as the Tea Party did.
So I have no sympathy for the Dems to jumped on the poop-rape-anarchy bandwagon in its earliest days. They know the history of leftist protest. They all remember the Sixties. I noted weeks ago that Democrat Secretary of State Elaine Marshall and Democratic U.S. Rep. Brad Miller unequivocally joined the Occupy forces. I also predicted that they would regret it. Funny how neither has surfaced in public since.
The Associated Press, also known as the house organ of the destructive Left and the Democratic Party, sees the danger. They’ve put together a story that is filled with distortions and actual lies. The actual lie is that the story says that no alliance has occurred between the Occupy wackos and the Democratic Party. Here’s what they say in the story:
The Republican Party and the tea party seemed to be a natural political pairing. But what may have seemed like another politically beneficial alliance — Democrats and Occupy Wall Street — hasn’t happened.
John Nolte of the Big Journalism blog notes that they conveniently forgot this story:
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) — the campaign arm of the House Democrats — sent out an email Monday morning urging readers to sign a petition supporting the growing “Occupy Wall Street” protests.
The email, titled “@Stake: Occupy Wall Street,” said, “Protestors are assembling in New York and around the country to let billionaires, big oil and big bankers know that we’re not going to let the richest 1% force draconian economic policies and massive cuts to crucial programs on Main Street Americans.”
So, don’t buy the spin from the AP and the other mainstream media outlets that are trying to save the Democrats who lacked the judgment to stay away from the Occupy slime wagon in its infancy.
