For the past few months I’ve been watching the Greenway at Fisher Park apartment complex go up across the street from New Bridge Bank Park.

Today the Winston-Salem Journal reports the City Council signed off on a 200-unit apartment complex across the street from BB&T Ballpark.

The complex will be built by Brookstone Development Partners, which is owned by Billy Prim, who is also owner of the Winston-Salem Dash. In approving the construction, the council also waived a requirement that Prim submit a 30-year master plan for development surrounding the stadium, a requirement they put in place when they loaned Prim an extra $15 million to finish the stadium.
