A unanimous three-judge panel of the N.C. Court of Appeals has upheld the first-degree murder verdict against Jonathan Broyhill in the killing of Jamie Hahn. Appellate judges agreed that Broyhill had received a “fair trial, free from error” in the 2013 fatal stabbing of Hahn and an attack on her husband, Nation Hahn.

Broyhill, a family friend, had been helping Jamie Hahn with paperwork associated with former Democratic U.S. Rep. Brad Miller’s campaign committee.
