As if being a board that is supposed to create economic prosperity isn’t bad enough, Alderman Bob Scott brought up several issues with the Franklin TDA. The TDA is a public authority subject to open meetings laws, but it has voted by email and casually met in restaurants. The board has not submitted quarterly reports required by general statute. In addition, some applications for filling a vacancy seem to have evaporated. Besides, Franklin already has a TDC that covers the same ground.
