The Associated Press tries to eclipse John McCain’s elegant concession speech with this classless lede on their sidebar story:

Some stood with arms crossed, anger etched on their faces. Others expressed disappointment, even fear. Still others wiped away tears and grumbled when John McCain congratulated his opponent, America’s first black president, for making history.

So, AP is appalled that people who worked their hearts out for two years are disappointed that their man lost? They are surprised they aren’t dancing in jubilation at their opponent’s win? Considering that riots were predicted if Obama had lost, I think a few crossed arms are something the nation can deal with.
