Guilford County Commissioner Steve Arnold —beset by business problems —– says he won’t seek re-election.
Meanwhile, former Davidson County Sheriff Gerald Hege — convicted of obstruction of justice almost six years ago —- filed to make another at sheriff. Incumbent David Grice, who was appointed to fill Hege’s seat before he was elected in 2006, announced he will file for re-election.
Last but not least, hotel entrepreneur and Guilford County Board of Education member Deena Hayes has filed for re-election.
