Jonathan Chait of The New Republic has been yelling at the top of his lungs that “conservative” economic thinking is either lame-brained, driven by greed, or both. He’s written a book that reviewers have easily sliced apart, but for the redistributionist left, writing a book that will withstand intelligent scrutiny isn’t important. It only needs to stoke the flames of envy-driven voters.
