In a letter to the editor of the Wall Street Journal, George Leef responded to a previous feature by John Zogby about problems facing the labor movement. Leef wrote last Friday that even workers who think a union will help them may also think the costs outweigh the benefits. There is another big issue as well. “Once a union is voted in, it has the legal power to represent everyone, indefinitely,” he wrote. Leef’s new book is Free Choice for Workers: A History of the Right to Work Movement.”
