With HOT lanes now a definite possibility for Interstate 77 north of Charlotte, it’s a good time to see how HOT lanes have done in other places. HOT lanes were added about a year ago to portions of I-85 in Atlanta. As the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports, the toll lanes generated less revenue than predicted, but usage is building over time.
