Thanks to the N&O, we now have audio of Gov. Bev Perdue’s “joke” that congressional elections should be suspended.
The only thing missing is a laugh track.
Update: Upon further reflection, it appears that Perdue’s approach to humor is so deadpan even *she* didn’t realize she was joking. Proverbs 26:18-19 applies: “Like a madman shooting firebrands or deadly arrows is a man who deceives his neighbor and says, ‘I was only joking!'”
