Typical of the education establishment, when something is working, destroy it! Amazing, but the Orange County School Board is currently considering a proposal that would merge the county’s highest performing elementary school – Hillsborough Elementary School (HES) – with the county’s lowest performing elementary school – Central Elementary School. This is NOT the way to raise student achievement, but is a way to game the system so it ?looks? like higher achievement happens. Parents have started a blog to express their opinions.  Time will tell if forward thinking prevails.
