Marshall’s Mayor Lawrence Ponder said the town will run out of water in five or six weeks if its supply is not replenished. One of the town’s three wells has reportedly dried up, and its water reserves are falling at a rate of two inches a day. Alderman Luther Nix advised businesses to cut down on water use, and asked all restaurants to use paper plates instead of dishwashers.
