Here’s what official sponsor Bank of America thinks makes for a nifty memorial to the victims of 9/11:

Those words are part of the truly breathtakingly inane Arizona 9/11 Memorial. You would think a memorial to the victims of 9/11 would stick to, oh, memorializing the victims. Not this one. It strays into heavy agit-prop. And the agit-prop would be just as misplaced if it included a headline about Bill Clinton failing to pursue Osama bin Laden. Simply not the time or the place.

How the people responsible for putting this memorial together could mess up this bad is hard to understand. The urge to find a way to blame America and Americans once again trumps common sense.

Who are these people? Well, one was BoA President Benito Almanza. He works out of BoA’s Phoenix branch and has contributed to Democratic candidates and parties in recent years.

He, along with BoA, must find nothing wrong with these sentiments.
