Guilford County District Attorney Doug Henderson won’t file charges against N.C. A&T officials implicated in a 2007 audit of the university’s finances.

Henderson found that that the questionable spending, including “travel and artwork” from former Chancellor James Renick’s discretionary fund padded by $400,000 from a Pepsi vending contract, “benefitted the university.”

Henderson added that Renick “didn’t understand the restriction on the vending funds.” Evidently not.
