In a Beltway Confidential post this afternoon, Michael
Barone
observes that President Obama was elected by a top-and-bottom coalition.  He
explains that the president carried voters with incomes below $50,000, who tend to like the democrats’ health care reform but not their cap and trade proposals and those with incomes over $200,000 who like the administration’s cap and trade proposals but not health care reform.

Barone will be in Raleigh to expound on this and other
thoughts on the administration in his talk, Obama?s Plan ? Working out for
America?
There are a few seats
left for this very special JLF headliner lunch Wednesday (October 7) at the
North Raleigh Hilton at noon.
