The Watauga Democrat has a cool idea for controlling graffiti. Public discussions of the problem typically tell how taggers crave attention through their painting. So, the article begins with a photo of a teeny, tiny tag. It is supposed to say, “Draba,” but it looks more like it says, “Ragi.” The article further tells of “what appears to be an A with a circle almost completely around it,” It’s a way of saying, “You’re so bad at graffiti, you leave us wondering if you’re trying to make a beginners’ tag or what.” The article also tries to wrest a confession by alleging the latest rash is associated with a criminal deluge of past graffiti.
