Nice response from Gov. Bev Perdue when asked to respond to skepticism to her ‘temporary’ tax hikes:
Asked why the public should believe the taxes in question would be temporary, Perdue said: “Because I’m the governor.”
Well, that’s that. Only problem is no one should expect so-called ‘temporary’ or ’emergency’ tax hikes to go away.
