[The Henderson County Commissioners] expressed disappointment that the federal government did not approach the county to inform officials here of the plans to renovate an existing building in the Park Hill Court medical complex at Sixth Avenue and Justice Street for its facility, which has sparked concern in the community with its 8-foot-high chain-link fence topped with barbed wire.

Not to worry, the ICE building will not house dangerous escape artists, but it reportedly will only serve as an administration center – as if the federal government ever does anything more relevant.

[County Attorney Russ] Burrell told commissioners that civil litigation could ensue, and he’s aware that several of the affected property owners have been meeting.
