Slide the City, a nationally-touring event that lets people slide on soapy water a distance of three football fields, will not, contrary to advertisements, be allowed in Asheville.
“The problem we are having with the state health department is that . . . we are considered a pool,” says Slide the City organizer [Brad] Behle. “To [operate] a pool, you need a deck and bathhouse.”
