Greensboro City Council member Dianne Bellamy-Small wants fellow council members to approve her redistricting plan or do nothing at all, in spite of the fact that both of Trudy Wade’s plans give her the mall.
The N&R says “council has until May 3 to decide and get the map to the U.S. Department of Justice for approval. If the council misses that deadline, it can move the upcoming city election back a year, giving its members another year in office.”
That would be a lot of fun —mixing the City Council race into what is sure to be a brutal presidential election.
