The N&R reports that the developers who were going to revitalize the Bessemer Shopping Center —with help from the City of Greensboro in the form of a $2 million forgivable loan– have now backed out of the deal.

The N&R also reports the City Council was scheduled to discuss the situation at tonight’s meeting, but will postpone until a later date. Given that the original deal took eight hours over two previous council meetings, who knows where this will go.
