National Review asked its readers for nominations of the best movies portraying conservative values, made in the last 25 years (that rules out, for example, Casablanca, Patton, and Star Wars)

That’s not the say they are exactly “family values” movies; the no. 1 pick was Lives of Others, a controversial German film that very graphically portrays how all-intrusive the East German police state was. My first choice, The Incredibles, came in number 2, though one of my other top 25, Amazing Grace, was in the ‘also ran’ list.
