So if Biden defines “patriotic” as paying more income taxes, does that mean he is “challenging the patriotism” of the roughly 30 percent of American taxpayers who pay no income taxes? That is, is Biden saying the 40 million non?tax-paying poor people are unpatriotic? Or is he hailing the rich as the most patriotic among us?
