Doug French writes here about the thuggish tactics used by Las Vegas unions. Firms that won’t consent to union representation face regulatory mauling from bureaucracies that have been loaded with union-friendly folks. It’s a big racket — the unions squeeze money from workers who may or may not want their “services” and then forks some of the loot over to the politicians who play ball with them, so they can provide even better cover for this business that produces nothing.

We’re already seeing some of this in North Carolina. Look for more as Big Labor flexes its anticompetitive muscles.
