I’m just now reading this Lexington Dispatch editorial on big plans for Lexington’s downtown, crafted by a group of N.C.A&T students. They’re pretty ambitious:

The focus last week was on the depot district, an area along Railroad Street that begins at East Center Street and runs into the belly of the former Lexington Home Brands properties. A group of students at North Carolina A&T State University created a master plan for how to redevelop the property, which the City of Lexington now owns. Their plans include a bowling alley, movie theater, amphitheater, museum, restaurants and train station.

The question, of course, is how to pay for it all.
