Some African Americans, out of a naïve or uninformed sense of Third World solidarity, may be tempted to lament Osama bin Laden meeting his end with a bullet to the head. Don’t cry for Osama.
In their maniacal pursuit of Americans to kill, bin Laden and Islamic fundamentalists of his breed have not cared whether they take the lives of African Americans—or Africans, for that matter.
Kenneth Cooper concludes by knocking the notion that somehow with an Obama in the White House, America had less to fear from Osama and al Qaida. I had no idea it was an open question.
And to dive back several centuries for a big, broad — and thus possibly irrelevant — point, historically black Africa has suffered much at the hands of Muslims from the Red Sea.
