Jackson County taxpayers will spend $69,400 for asbestos abatement to humor a multibillion multinational that promises to create jobs. The county acquired, from the former Jackson Development Corporation, the building ConMet will rent. The JDC was “the property-owning arm of the county’s Economic Development Commission.”
