Following the recommendation of system president Erskine Bowles, a UNC Board of Governors’ committee spiked a proposed UNCG pharmacy school.

I don’t know why, but I find it strange that Greensboro attorney Steve Bowden suddenly rushed in with “information that had not been previously given to university system officials,” including “private industries in Guilford County are willing to commit more than $70 million to make the school a reality.”

Amazing how money just magically appears when the powers that be really want something.
