As in to the L.A. Clippers. Michael Ventre’s Midseason Report on the Clippers over at NBCSports.com includes:
Make plans for a title if: This is a jinxed franchise. Even when the Clippers were at full strength and showing signs of becoming a contender, they were still not in the same league as the Western Conference’s finest. The Clips won’t win a title as long as Sterling owns them.
And Ventre on the Bobcats:
Make plans for a title if: This team is too Clipper-like to ever win a championship.
Ouch.
