On cue — and in the words of UNC alum Stuart Scott — Boo-Yah!
A blast to the Jim Black claim that he did not really violate North Carolina law by accepting blank-check donations. A Wake County Superior court judge has just ruled that Black must return $6,800 he received in blank-check donations from fellow optometrists.
This upholds what the State Board of Elections found on the blank-check issue, a ruling that Black’s legal camp had repeatedly attacked in recent months.
Is this the beginning of the end of crony politics in North Carolina? No. No.
Not by a long shot.
