Even kids who live relatively close to Wake County’s Shearon Harris nuclear power plant have little knowledge about the plant and how it works. That’s a shame, according to Amelia Frahm, who wrote a children’s book in 2011 devoted to improving nuclear literacy.

Frahm, executive director of Nutcracker Publishing, discussed her work during a presentation today to the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society. In the video clip below, she explains some of the challenges associated with her work.
