Over at Ed Cone’s tea party thread, UNCG economics professor and local blogger Dave Ribar offers a little advice to tax protesters, suggesting they “turn down (boycott) the government services they so despise.”

It would take too long to list the number of government services that I simply can’t boycott because there’s no way in hell I’d take advantage of them anyway. Instead, I’ll just list the government services that I do boycott: Housing, food, health care and mass transit. I’m not a numbers guy like Professor Ribar, but I’ll venture to say that’s a big chunk of the budget I’m turning down.

I will give the professor credit for coming down on the UNC protesters, however.
