Strange doings up at the Edwards compound in Chapel Hill.
Don Carrington reports that the GOP-loving neighbor of John Edwards has been bought out for $1.6 million. The county tax value of the property is $570,000.
The buyer of the property got a $1 million loan from a retired UNC business professor by the name of Richard Levin. FEC records show that Levin has contributed $4000 to federal Democratic candidates in recent years.
