An item in “Under the Dome” quotes N.C. State history professor Holly Brewer’s concerns about the proposed changes in North Carolina’s public school history curriculum.

You might remember that Brewer raised similar concerns in 2008, when the curriculum changes were not quite as drastic. At that time, American history instruction was slated to start with the beginning of George Washington’s first administration.
