Earlier today a watched a rerun of Guilford County Schools CFO (and soon-to-be interim superintendent) Sharon Ozment explaining the costs associated with the school climate task force’s recent recommendations.

Ozment told the school board that one of the recommendations was adding two non-law enforcement security positions to each high school at a cost ranging from from $579,179 to $1.9 million depending on salaries and number of positions.

Ozment told the board that Charlotte Mecklenburg Scools had a name for these positions: “behavior modification technicians.”

Update: Take a look at Ozment’s resume. I’m not sure what it says about America’s education system when someone works their way up from Xerox operator to interim superintendent.
